This Website Front Page...
Shows the versatility of image galleries - notice the top right hand corner fading various pictures in and out with differing effects. While in the top left, we have a "polaroid" gallery - polaroid-like pictures that flash up when you double click them. Ordinarily, we would allocate more room so that you could see the full picture. But just this once, we thought it a nice touch to have the pictures flash up and fill the entire area.
Not only does this particular gallery catch the eye, simply by being "different", it also permits user interaction in terms of moving the pictures around, scanning the ones they want and then opening them. In addition, in a bigger panel, you would be able to slide through them as you would any other image gallery. Lastly, the gallery really catches the eye as the pics "slide in" as if they were thrown on to the page by an unseen hand. |
